I worked on Brave briefly as a story artist when I first started full-time at Pixar in 2007. It was really exciting and inspiring to work with Brenda Chapman, Pixar’s first female director. I remember looking in the Disney Art of Animation book as a teenager and seeing a photo of her holding a storyboard, paving the way for women to work in the story department.
